Support for women who sell or exchange sex online
Click is an inclusive and confidential service supporting the well-being and safety of women, trans women and non-binary people across Scotland who are involved in selling or exchanging sex or sexual images online.
The increase in users buying and selling on the internet has introduced limitless possibilities for selling or exchanging sex. Websites like AdultWork, Vivastreet, OnlyFans and admireme are just some of the sites that are used to advertise or sell sex in some way or other. Whilst there is a noticeable decline in brothels, saunas and street prostitution in some areas of Scotland - and a shift towards online - on-street prostitution continues in Dundee with the addition of online exchange.
Selling sex encompasses an array of different activities. Escorting, lap-dancing, pornography, private galleries, stripping and web-camming are all forms of selling sex. Selling sex online has its own unique set of risks. This includes an increased risk of stalking, online harassment and doxing.
Listening to women involved in selling or exchanging sex is of paramount importance and ensures their voices are heard and their experiences are what shape the Click service.
Experiences, stories and views can be emailed to email@example.com or sent via WhatsApp on 07554753622. To find out more about 'Your Voice' you can visit www.click.scot where there is further information.
