Dundee and Angus Young Survivors
WRASAC has a new service offering confidential and professional, emotional and practical support to all young survivors - of all gender identities - aged from 11 to 18; who have experienced rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation or sexual bullying; and who live in Dundee or Angus.
The support provided is always the best fit for the young person. That means that we go at their pace, we meet where they feel comfortable and we can arrange a ‘no forms, no pressure’ initial session. We know it’s important for young people to know about our service and the people before they make a decision. We welcome questions, comments and feedback.
We have a helpline and can offer planned support by phone, text, email or Skype. Face to face support is provided at an appropriate venue, for example in school, college, health centre or at our centre in Dundee.
Referral Criteria and Method
Does the young person fit the description highlighted above?
Do you have their consent to make a referral?
You can send or email us a completed referral form, or you can phone our business line, to make a referral.
We need the name of the young person and their date of birth or age. We’ll need contact information and to know the safest way to make contact. However, if the young person would like you to arrange the initial meeting please provide your contact details. We do not require detail of the experience—it’s important that the young person tells us about this when they are ready.
