Vacancy - Trustee and Treasurer
WRASAC is a well-established charity providing specialist trauma informed support to survivors of sexual violence, abuse and exploitation across Dundee and Angus. We are looking to recruit:
- Treasurer to the Board
We have been through an exciting period of innovative change that has, for example, seen the development of new services, including our Dundee and Angus Young Survivors (DAYS) project that is open to all young survivors aged 11-18, regardless of their gender.
As a Trustee we feel sure that you will find it both a rewarding and enjoyable experience. We are particularly keen to hear from people who have the following experience:
- Financial Management
- Public Relations / Marketing
- Charity Law
We would also welcome applications from people with a background in accountancy who would be interested in the role of Treasurer to the Board.
Ideal applicants will have proven experience at Executive or Board level and have an interest in both the charity sector and the future direction of palliative care – becoming a member of our Board of Trustees will provide you with an opportunity to share your skill base and make a valuable contribution to our strategic plans and direction.
Demand for support from survivors of sexual violence, abuse and exploitation has grown considerably over the last few years, a trend that is likely to continue. To that end, we have recently undergone series operational and governance changes to ensure that our organisation is fit for purpose.
We just developed our five year Strategic Plan, are working towards our Good Governance Award and have been working hard to diversify our funding so we grow our service to meet the needs of the community we serve.
WRASAC is seeking to strengthen the governance and strategic development of the organisation with new trustees.
Our Trustees are essential to ensuring we bring together a broad skill mix, with the necessary experience, knowledge, commitment and acumen to ensure that WRASAC is compliant, and professionally and expertly governed, to meet legislative and regulatory requirements for ‘best practice’.
