Team Leader Vacancy Full Time 21 month post until 30th September 2023 - continuation funding will be sort but is not guaranteed

The Women’s Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (WRASAC), Dundee and Angus have been supporting survivors of rape, sexual abuse and exploitation and raising awareness about the damaging effects of sexual violence since 1984. We are a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. WRASAC has a dynamic and growing team of staff and volunteers

with an annual income of just over £800,000 per year from a diverse range of funders.

Due to securing additional funding we have seen an increase in staff numbers in our Women's Support (WS) Team over this last 12 months, as such we are recruiting for the new position of Team Leader for the Women's Support Team. The WS Team Leader will have overall responsibility for ensuring survivors in the Women's Support Service receive the highest quality of support. ensuring we deliver the best, most effective and survivor centred service possible.

The Team Leader will support the Centre Manager and the Deputy Manager post by leading the Women's Support Team (staff, students and volunteers) ensuring that they are well supported to do their work.

The Team Leader is expected to work closely with the Manger and Deputy Manager and may be asked to deputise for the Deputy Manger when necessary.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within the violence against women sector and have at least 2 years’ experience of leading a team of counselling/therapeutic support staff and have experience of working in direct support services.

They will have a collaborative leadership style, excellent interpersonal skills, proactive approach and an understanding and commitment to a feminist analysis of gender-based violence.

Salary: £25,880 moving to £29,465 after successful completion of a probationary period
